Brady Corporation Sr. Quality Engineer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

What We Need:

This individual will be a member of the Milwaukee operations located at Brady’s Florist Avenue manufacturing plant in Glendale, WI. This is a hands-on quality position with a high shop floor presence. This position focuses on identification of quality concerns, containment, root causes analysis and corrective action. This position provides business systems oversight, ensures adherence and implements ongoing improvements.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supports site ISO9001 and ISO14001 business systems and customer specific requirements.

  • Assists and consults with new product introductions.

  • Participates in and/or leads process improvements affecting safety, quality, cost and delivery.

  • Removes process complexities and non-value added activities.

  • Devises, implements, revises methods and procedures for inspection and testing, ensuring product quality.

  • Ensures precision and accuracy of test measurement equipment.

  • Utilizes quality and statistical data analysis tools (DOE, Cpk studies, FMEAs, etc.) to support product developments, process improvements and quality concerns.

  • Ensures compliance with company standards and applicable governmental regulations.

  • Effectively manage supplier / customer relationships.

  • Serves as a resource for GR&R, calibration/control, test bias understanding, statistical analysis, etc.

  • Manage and oversee direct reports.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    What You Will Need To Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality, industrial engineering, math, statistics or related engineering field from an accredited university.

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience.

  • Practical hands on experience using statistical and quality tools such as; Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiments (DOE), process capability assessment, error-proofing, six sigma methodologies, variability reduction techniques and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

  • Ability to facilitate special customer requests such as first articles, 8D reports, and PPAPs.

  • High energy and drive.

  • Effective listening and s trong interpersonal skills.

  • Effective leadership combined with the ability to influence others.

  • Willingness and ability to maintain a routine presence on the shop floor, engaging with team members and processes.

  • Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO14001 requirements and auditing.

  • Experience with Statistical Analysis software and SAP.
