Job Summary
The IT Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for effective delivery of IT asset management (ITAM) services. This includes procurement and management of technology inventories, management of contracts for IT assets and related services, monitoring compliance in all areas of software licensing and maintenance of the IT Asset Management Systems.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee the effective delivery of IT asset management services including hardware, software, vendor and contract management:
Participate in the development of strategies and plans to improve IT asset management across the enterprise
Ensure assets are effectively managed through their lifecycle, e.g. procurement through disposal.
Ensure asset data and information is available to business clients and key stakeholders
Establish and adjust appropriate service levels and key performance indicators for important services
Manage and improve work practices and processes to support efficient delivery of IT asset management services and accuracy of asset data including:
Oversee day to day operations and key processes supported by the team
Ensure the team and department is effectively using asset management, contract management and discovery tools.
Ensure software remains compliant with licensing agreements
Successfully lead vendor initiated software audits
Ensure reporting is available for key areas of IT asset management
Ensure savings are adequately tracked and improvements measured
Maintain effective relationship with internal business clients
Oversee IT asset procurement, contract and vendor management processes
Collaborate with Supply Chain in acquiring IT assets and related services including hardware, software licenses and maintenance and support contracts
Provide contract interpretation for license, warranty and service agreements
Manage contract renewals and terminations, identifying and taking advantage of potential cost savings
Lead a team of asset management professionals
Establish goals for team in alignment with department and company goals.
Work with employees to establish individual goals as part of performance planning to achieve operational excellence
Monitor performance of employees and provide feedback and coaching.
Mentor, train and develop employees
Ensure team members maintain and improve subject matter expertise.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Business or Information Systems/Technology
5-7 years of relevant experience in the asset management/procurement field – background should include experience in the application of IT asset management practices, demonstrated understanding of the asset management life cycle, knowledge of ordering and procurement processes and procedures, knowledge of software licensing structures, experience in IT contract administration and interpretation, experience in IT procurement and experience with asset management tools
Demonstrated organizational and planning skills
Problem solving ability
Vendor relationship management and negotiation experience
Interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership traits
Demonstrated orientation toward customer service

Pay Range Minimum: $101,743.46
Pay Range Maximum: $152,615.06
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
