The appointment will begin August 2025. The Accounting faculty values intellectual and disciplinary diversity, collaboration, rigorous and inspiring research, strong scholarly ethics, and mutual respect. We seek an extraordinary colleague who will publish world-class scholarly research, effectively teach business-school courses at the undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels, and actively develop doctoral students. Faculty will be responsible for carrying out the teaching, research, and service mission of the department. Teaching assignments will be either at the undergraduate or graduate level. There is also the expectation of advising at the PhD level. On the research mission, faculty are expected to develop and maintain a research stream that will contribute to the accounting discipline. Finally, the faculty is expected to serve on department and collegiate committees. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in accounting or a related discipline prior to beginning employment. We encourage applications from candidates who are close to completion of a doctoral degree at the time of application. Preferred Requirements Candidates must demonstrate potential for teaching and research excellence, including the potential to generate publications in high-quality journals in accounting and related fields, and a strong commitment to serve the department, the school, and the profession. About the Department The Department of Accounting consists of 12 tenure-track faculty members committed to excellence in teaching and research. The tenure-track teach accounting courses to undergraduate and masters' level students, and accounting research seminars to PhD students. The faculty conducts empirical/archival and theoretical/analytical research in accounting and related disciplines.
