Collins Aerospace Aftermarket Team is seeking an experienced Controller who will interact with all business units, and as part of the site leadership team will be viewed as a trusted business advisor to the site. Critical outcomes include supporting the Miramar Repair Finance team and Site Leadership team with key financial information and operation analytics and driving a culture of accountability. The Controller will lead a small team overseeing general accounting and analysis, focusing on developing, interpreting, and implementing accounting controls and performance metrics across the site’s functional areas.

Candidate must be a commutable distance from Miramar, FL to work a hybrid schedule.

What You Will Do

  • Supporting the Site General Manager and guiding the Site Leadership team

  • Build a culture of urgency and agility in response to daily business challenges

  • Financial reporting of actuals, forecast, and weekly LE updates with variance analysis

  • P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Backlog, and Cost analysis, and Ad hoc reports

  • Set an annual and 5 year strategic plan with the Site General Manager and Regional Repair Finance team

  • Reviewing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations

  • Ensure proper invoicing and account payable ledgers are maintained and current

  • Maintain the Site’s Disclosure Statement and ensure adherence to the accounting practices

  • Validating monthly site reporting in SAP & HFM

  • Interacting with Customers and Vendors to settle contractual matters

  • Working effectively with internal customers, such as other site and regional controllers, analysts and senior Customer Service leadership

  • Close on-site strategic goals including employee idea forum and real time program status reporting

What You Will Learn

  • Build the ability to manage and influence cross-functional teams, ensuring that everyone is working efficiently and effectively.

  • Gain experience in setting strategic plans for the site, both for the annual budget and the five-year outlook. This will involve collaboration with the Site General Manager and the Regional Repair Finance team.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract ​

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Operations experience in managing a business unit P&L and balance sheet

  • Supervisory experience preferred

  • SAP and HFM experience

  • US GAAP and US Government Accounting Rules (FAR, DFAR, and CAS) experience

  • Financial modeling experience

  • Continuous improvement processes and tools (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, etc) experience

  • Aerospace experience

  • CPA/CMA or MBA preferred

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
