Edward Jones Investment Customer Care Specialist - 12 months contract in Mississauga, Ontario

Job Overview

Position Schedule: Full-Time

Provide solutions in response to incoming telephone calls and written correspondence from Financial Advisors and Branch Office Administrators in an accurate and efficient manner, while considering different variables such as legal / regulatory guidelines and risk to the firm. Associate will not provide recommendations on the suitability of investments as it pertains to clients.

Shift Time: 8 AM - 5 PM EST

  • Following successful completion of initial training, associate will require understanding of financial tools offered by the firm along with product and services.

  • Associates work both independently and with each other to provide branch teams with accurate information and support for Portfolio, Financial Foundations and other firm software tools through calls and written correspondence.

  • Communicate the impact of operational procedures and processes on software tools to branch teams. Understand industry rules and regulations.

  • Strongly focused on striving to provide world class client service in line with individual and department performance and quality expectation measures for the position.

  • Associates will learn a secondary Service role, to provide support when needed.

  • Contribute to the overall success of the team / department by acting as a resource for others and by supporting new initiatives, projects or process changes.

Identify opportunities for improvements or enhancements within team / department.

Skills/Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • University degree or College diploma is strongly preferred

  • Must be able to work 8:00 - 5:00 pm ET

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Must be able to multi-task and follow up appropriately with resolution

  • Ability to learn and apply technical information

  • A willingness to cross train on Insurance in order to provide back up support when needed

  • A strong service background and a desire to hold a client service position

  • Ability to accept and adjust to change

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Strong computer skills

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships within and outside the department

  • A strong work ethic and desire to work and excel in the financial industry
