What you’ll be doing

You will be joining CIBC’s Wealth Management Operations team. As a Specialist, Operations Management, you will handle the comprehensive management of various Alternative Investment Products processes. You will conduct agreement verifications, maintain effective communication with stakeholders and manage operational tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to drive the success of alternative investment products.

How you’ll succeed

  • Agreement Verification – Conduct thorough reviews and verifications of all agreements related to alternative products to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

  • Stakeholder Communication – Facilitate effective communication with a diverse range of internal teams and external partners. This includes coordinating with legal, compliance, and operational units to ensure alignment and clarity on product offerings.

  • Task Management – Oversee and follow up on daily, weekly, and monthly operational tasks, ensuring that all activities are executed timely and efficiently. This includes monitoring workflows and addressing any issues that may arise.

  • Record Retention – Support and maintain robust record retention practices, ensuring that all documentation is organized and compliant with CIBC’s guidelines. This includes regular audits of documentation to uphold accuracy and completeness.

  • Project Involvement – Participate in various Product projects like new product launches, terminations, enhancements to existing systems. This may involve system updates, migrations, and the integration of new technologies as required.

  • Year-End Responsibilities – Execute year-end tasks including financial reporting and compliance checks, to ensure a seamless transition into the new fiscal year.
