Honeywell Senior Asset Manager, AIS in Morris Plains, New Jersey

This position will support and lead Asset Strategy and Management needs within the Advanced Industrial Solutions (AIS) businesses, reporting to Director of Asset Strategy. This position will work closely with global business leaders, representatives from Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, R&D, Finance, and the AIS Leadership Team. This position will develop strategies to maximize profitability of overall business operations, increase the return on investment and invested capital of the AIS asset base, support connecting STRAP to Business Execution, drive strategic supply decisions and optimization, capacity investments as well as asset repositioning or divestiture decisions required to improve the ROI on investments. The role is designed to be a feeder role for larger business or functional roles depending on the candidate’s experience.

•Responsible for ensuring the maximization of return on investment across the existing AIS asset base including strategic supply decisions, identifying Cost Optimization Opportunities, preparing Capacity Investment Cases, Developing Portfolio Management Metrics, Supporting Capital Investment or Reinvestment Decision Making.

•Lead Asset Addition/Deletion Investment Cases and cases that overall affect Manufacturing Capacity or geographic Diversity

•Lead asset light manufacturing strategy including strategic sourcing, tolling or joint ventures.

•Identification of Long-Term Supply/Demand Balances and strategy for fulfilling or avoiding gaps.

•Responsible for strategic supply transition pipeline, asset repositioning, or asset divestitures

•Responsible for supporting ESG Project Analysis.

•Supporting Resiliency Analysis and Improvement of Global Supply Chain

•Responsible for providing AIS Leadership Team, and ESS Leadership Team with well written and/or oral presentations with necessary information and supporting analyses to make appropriate business investment decisions.

•Develops strategic direction regarding New Product Innovation “NPI” and Break Through Initiatives “BTI” make vs buy, potential new ventures and when necessary negotiates contracts with third party suppliers/providers/partners.

•Responsible for connecting STRAP To Execution for Expansions, Contractions, Diversifications, Cost Optimization, Organic/Inorganically

•Responsible for Market Development, Risk Management, and Financial Impact Ownership of Non-Core products- By Products/Co-Products

•Support Annual STRAP Process with Identification and Support of Expansion Investment/Productivity impact over time.

•Support or lead Joint Venture or 3rd Party Supply Development Investments/Business Cases.

•Manages data sharing and cross-functional projects meant to strengthen the supply side of the Advanced Industrial Solutions Businesses

•Business lead for functions (Manufacturing, Procurement, ISC, HSE, Engineering, Finance, HR) in execution of strategic projects that accelerate growth.

Must Haves:

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business

•Robust understanding of manufacturing and how assets influence business strategy.

•Robust Corporate Financial Acumen and Valuation Skills

•Strong Executive Level Communication Ability. Excellent Verbal, Written, and Presentation Skills are a requirement.

•Critical Thinker capable of conducting strategy independent analysis and recommendations

Nice to Have:

•Minimum 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment

•MBA/MS in business, finance, or other technical/analytical discipline.

•People management experience and leading direct teams

•8 or more years of applicable experience, with strong marketing aptitude and business interest. Strong problem-solving skills to structure and conduct analyses, and to drive robust decisions.

•Ability to perform financial analyses (NPV, IRR, payback, etc.) to prioritize business decisions.

•Understanding of Absorption and Variable Costing Accounting

•Ability to influence multi-functional teams without a direct reporting relationship.
