JOB SUMMARY
The Retail Supervisor provides support and works in New York State products through the future Taste of New York Market, SUNY Morrisville, and Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation.
REPORTS TO: Director of Retail Operations DEPARTMENT: Retail
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly | GRADE: 8 | SALARY: $16.38/HR. | SUPERVISES: Sales Associates
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Under the direction of the Director of Retail Operations, the Retail Supervisor supervise operations of Taste of New York Market to include but not limited to staffing, scheduling, inventory and purchasing
Oversee Sales Staff, including but limited to scheduling, training, and monitor compliance with all procedures
Prepares and ensures that cash ups and accounts receivable for following company procedures
Maintain POS including product additions and modifications
Ensure Taste of New York online store is up to date
Coordinates with MAC's marketing department for print and electronic material
Collaborates with store associates to ensure consumer product needs are addressed
Research NYS products to diversify the Taste of New York Market offerings
Preparing purchase and placing orders with vendors for store product; along with ensuring correct forms are acquired for proper documentation and compliance with company policies
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School graduate or equivalent;
Associate degree or minimum 3 years' experience in Sales and/or Retail required;
Proven ability to promote and present business concepts and products;
Working knowledge of Point of Sale systems;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office skills, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel;
Valid NYS Driver's License

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS AND DEMANDS
- General office conditions; must be able to sit for long periods of time; must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.; weekends and evenings required; ability to work with and around various types of food.
