Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Marketing Manager, Sustainability Mountain View, California

The Microsoft Azure and Industry Marketing team is responsible for accelerating Cloud products and services across the Azure portfolio of Infrastructure, Data and AI, and Digital Applications, and communicates our environmental sustainability progress to commercial audiences.

Microsoft is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager, Sustainability to join our team. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape the marketing strategy and customer experience for Sustainability across our cloud portfolio, partnering closely with leadership to drive customer acquisition, adoption, and renewal. As part of the Microsoft Azure and Industry Marketing team, you will report directly to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, Sustainability. The ideal candidate is a strategic marketer with a deep understanding of the sustainability sector and a proven ability to work collaboratively across teams. You will lead efforts to crafting and executing strategic marketing initiatives and build alignment across teams to land a cohesive Microsoft Sustainability narrative for our commercial audiences across multiple channels. Responsibilities

  • Compiles and evaluate market intelligence and customer data to identify opportunities and define strategies for customer acquisition, adoption and renewal.

  • Define and influence marketing strategy and plans for commercial decision maker audiences.

  • Tracks performance of programs and makes recommendations for adjustment to marketing and program strategy​.

  • Understands the buyer’s journey, creates persona-based journeys and identifies opportunities for improving customer experience.

  • Partners with events team to execute and land sustainability events.

  • Develop partnerships across Microsoft organizations to identify opportunities to deliver differentiated customer content and experiences for key audiences and strategic topics.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product marketing, Global Demand Center (GDC) integrated marketing, Environmental Sustainability, strategic brand partnerships, field go to market (GTM) teams and sales teams to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.

  • Ensures orchestration of channels, motions, offers and overall marketing readiness.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)

  • Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in Cloud & AI Product Solutions

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in Cloud & AI Product Solutions

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years experience working with cloud services/products.

  • 3+ years experience developing and landing marketing strategies.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Cloud & AI Product Solutions OR related field AND 6+ years experience in Cloud & AI Product Solutions

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business OR related field AND 8+ years experience in Clou & AI Product Solutions

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience partnering with Corporate Social Responsibility teams.

  • 3+ years sustainability experience

  • 3+ years experience working for a cloud service provider.

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
