This is a hybrid position based out of our Sunnyvale, CA Headquarters.

As the Vice President, Systems, Network and Storage at LinkedIn, you will be responsible for the Network Infrastructure, Storage Infrastructure and Systems Infrastructure across LinkedIn’s production deployments. The organization sits within engineering and is looked at as such, requiring a leader who is not only strategic but also highly technical and capable of understanding the needs of high-scale complex systems. You will be instrumental in fortifying LinkedIn's data center infrastructure, strategically guiding our investments, and ensuring the continued scale of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the infrastructure strategy: Align technology roadmap with business objectives, ensuring systems, storage, and networks support company growth and innovation.

Oversee operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of data center infrastructure, including system administration, network management, and data storage.

Lead infrastructure engineering teams: Build and develop high-performing teams responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining systems.

Ensure system reliability and performance: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize system efficiency.

Drive digital transformation: Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve business processes, increase efficiency, and drive innovation..

Maintain data security and compliance: Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data, ensure privacy and compliance with industry regulations and manage risk.

Provide technical leadership: Serve as a technical expert and mentor to the team, staying up-to-date on technology trends and industry best practices.

Collaborate with business units: Partner with business leaders and other functions like Finance and Workplace to understand their technology needs and translate them into actionable solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

-Experience with leadership in Systems, Network and/or Storage, with at least 15 years of experience in progressively responsible roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Extensive experience in leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing complex infrastructures.

-Deep technical expertise in systems, storage, and networking technologies, including hardware, software, and cloud platforms.

-Strong understanding of operations, including system administration, network management, and data center management.

-Change management experience to lead organizational transformations and drive adoption of new technologies.

Travel: This role involves occasional global travel to engage with the global team and stakeholders.

The pay range for this role is $298,000 to $488,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
