Microsoft Corporation Cloud Solution Architect - Azure Infrastructure in Multiple Locations, France

As a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA), your primary responsibility is to support customers in their transition to Azure, ensuring they get the full value from Microsoft's cloud platform. You will be in charge of the adoption of the uses of the services of the Azure platform:

  • Understanding of business needs and digital transformation,

  • Aligning Azure cloud solutions with these transformation needs to accelerate business value

  • Support for implementation projects

They must develop deep relationships with customers' key IT and business decision makers who drive the long-term adoption of the Azure cloud within their organization.

The ideal candidate has significant customer experience and has successfully led transformation, business case discussions related to cloud migration, resulting in key decisions and migration or implementation projects.

Responsibilities

Understanding the customer/partner's technical environment

Gather customer/partner information (e.g., feedback on technical preferences, environments, business needs, competitive landscape), and support them in deploying architectures and solutions to Azure.

Be the voice of the customer (VOC)/partner internally

Providing feedback, gaps or blockages, but also ideas or resources, etc. to the communities or engineering to develop our solutions. Architecture Design and deployment

Leverage and defend an architecture approach while providing appropriate recommendations. Identify opportunities and new customer/partner needs.

Synthesize the business and technical needs of the customer/partner , meet them with one or more technical architectures. Be able to demonstrate and prove the value of these architectures/solutions through technical workshops with the customer/partner.

Apply extensive technical knowledge to various architecture solutions to meet business and information technology requirements and resolve identified technical constraints.

Assist customers/partners in the implementation of the technical architecture . Lead the architecture design workshops from conception to deployment and support the client/partner throughout the pre-sales and/or implementation process.

Identify and remove technical bottlenecks (e.g., configuration changes, code code) to accelerate architecture implementation or escalate non-technical issues for resolution.

Set up governance with the client/partner in order to identify, communicate and minimize technical or business risks (e.g. implementation of CAFs or landing zones, architecture reviews). Defines the conditions for success of the customer/partner, adheres to quality assurance and calculates risks during the design and/or delivery of solutions.

Practice Development

Generate new ideas for evolutions and improvements to existing intellectual property (IP), technologies and processes for clients/partners. Generate opportunities for IP reuse, sharing best practices, and consumption.

Trusted Advisor

Develop and extend existing relationships with client and partner architects and technical specialists, technical decision-makers, and stakeholders. - Respectfully challenge customers/partners when it comes to taking the wrong direction and escalate information appropriately. - Understand competitive architecture solutions and identify Microsoft's strengths over competitive solutions in order to fuel conversations with customers/partners and convince them of the solution.

Leadership

Share ideas, thoughts, and/or strategic and technical inputs with account teams, internal Microsoft communities using in-depth knowledge of specific Microsoft products and their competitive context. - Participate in external events of the architect community (e.g., conferences, seminars, technical meetings, webcasts, blogs, hackathons) and share the learnings with the internal team. Mentor junior colleagues to educate them on technical and non-technical concepts.

Uses and consumption for our customers

  • Lead architecture design sessions, resilience reviews and technical optimization that make it possible to secure the deployment of the application in production and ensure the optimization of the uses of Azure services for customers

Qualifications

You have a degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or equivalent and you have a minimum of 6 years of experience in technological solutions, development, architecture, consulting and/or cloud infrastructure technologies.

Qualifications

  • Cloud technical certification (e.g., Azure).

  • Experience dans l’infrastructure cloud computing (i.e. Windows et Linux IaaS, VmWare, Hybrid Computing Security, Identity, Storage, Networking, OSS, containers, Infra as code,…).

  • English and French fluent are imperative.
