Intermountain Health Program Manager, Health Equity Initiatives - Select Health in Murray, Utah
Job Description:
The Health Equity Initiatives Program Manager for Select Health leads the development of the strategy and KPIs within Select Health and works closely with Senior Leadership, operating areas, and Intermountain Health leadership to align and drive organizational performance. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer this position develops relationships with external stakeholders and seeks opportunities to expand community capacity to address disparities by informing community giving. Engages in and represents SH in national, regional, and state conversations related to Health Equity.
Essential Functions
Accelerates culture change including working with leadership and operating areas to develop organizational capacity to integrate health equity into health plan operations while collaborating with non-clinical and clinical personnel to develop and evaluate interventions to identify and address disparities for caregivers, members, and communities.
Directs and oversees teams involved in initiatives by monitoring work against benchmarks and offers strategies to teams and leadership to ensure accountability and leads efforts to understand data including the cost of differences in outcome and utilizes the information to drive program development, quality improvement, and inform the business and mission case.
Advances multiple projects and teams to achieve objectives and directs support staff such as project managers, coordinators, or assistants.
Responsible for shaping program development by using the Intermountain Operating Model (IOM) for planning and continuous improvement.
Advances thought leadership by analyzing industry research, best practices, legislation, and regulations to identify emerging trends. Works with teams to translate trends into action.
Oversees the Health Equity & SDOH Steering Committee and Caregiver Belonging Council and drives standardization and improvement in organizational approaches to identify and address disparities including standardizing data across all lines of business.
Supports membership growth by informing and advising sales on proposals with requirements and consults with quality of care and consumer satisfaction teams to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements related to addressing disparities.
Spearheads continued learning across departments and collaborates with belonging leaders and Human Resources on new training.
Oversees the implementation of the strategic plan, NCQA Health Equity Accreditation Program Description and Annual Work Plan and initiatives therein.
Collaborates with enterprise health equity including community relations, HR and clinical leaders in health equity to support the system and Select Health strategy around health equity
Advocacy for policies that improve health outcomes
Leads efforts to understand data including the cost of inequities and utilizes the information to drive program development, quality improvement, and inform the business and mission case.

Qualifications
Required
Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of Health Equity Initiatives as it pertains to population heath and community initiatives.
Demonstrated success in providing oversight and leading initiatives that identify and address disparities.
Experience developing and providing training related to celebrating different perspectives and fostering a sense of belonging
Demonstrated subject matter expertise in facilitating conversations related to health equity and employee belonging in the workforce
Experience in Community Relations.
Demonstrated experience with cross functional teams and indirect reports in a matrixed organization and an integrated healthcare system.
Experience partnering with senior leadership to develop, implement, and conduct continuous improvement on projects.
Experience and ability to influence individuals at all levels of the organization to support initiatives.
Preferred
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
Five years job-related experience.
Experience developing and implementing strategic plans.
Prior experience in management-level roles, leading and influencing teams or processes.
Additional Information
- This is an exempt, full-time position. Pay offers are determined by prior years of relevant experience within the established pay range. In addition to the annual salary, to show our commitment to you and assist with your transition into our organization, we may offer a sign-on and relocation bonus when applicable. With this position, you are eligible to participate in the Annual Pay for Performance (AP4P) Plan. This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P award opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary. Awards are paid out based on attainment of selected Board-approved goals.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$57.75 - $89.14
