At Easterseals PORT Health, we're seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Medical Assistantto join our team in Nags Head, NC. As a valued member of our collaborative and supportive team, you will work together to transform the lives of individuals by providing a comprehensive range of services that treat the whole person and empower patients to find their way forward.

What You'll Do

As the Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for performing administrative and clinical procedures for adults with substance abuse, mental health and co-occurring medical conditions. The medical assistant will serve as a member of the treatment team and must be able to take vitals, conduct assessments, schedule appointments, update patient records, coordinate prescription refills and other services with external providers.

How You'll Benefit

You'll earn acompetitive hourly salary ($16-17) depending on skills and experience.This full-time position is Monday-Friday from 8 am-5 pm. We also offer competitive benefits to benefits eligible positions.

What We're Looking For

To join our team as the Medical Assistant you must knowledge of Electronic Health Records systems, have a high degree of accuracy in documentation, have knowledge of mental health and psychiatric treatment resources and be able to provide back up coverage to the Patient Access Representative. We also require:

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant,CMA, RMA, highly preferred
    • Or, Phlebotomy certification or LPN
  • Experience with mental health population preferred
  • Maintain valid state appropriate driver's license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
