VCA Naper Ridge Animal Hospital has the opportunity to add a Certified Veterinary Technician to our team as we continue to provide optimal care and support to pets and their parents in our community.

Compensation: Pay range is $ 21 - 25 / hr and determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.

Schedule: Full- time opportunity, 4 x 10 hour shifts. Not looking for full-time hours, we’re happy to discuss part-time options as well!

Key Responsibilities :

• Patient Care : Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, including administering treatments, medications, and monitoring their recovery.

• Anesthesia and Surgery : Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, including anesthesia induction, monitoring, and post-operative care.

• Diagnostics : Perform diagnostic tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and radiographs, ensuring accurate results and timely processing.

• Client Education : Engage with clients to provide clear communication on their pets’ health, treatment plans, and preventive care.

• Record Keeping : Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.

• Leadership and Mentorship : Mentor junior staff and help foster a collaborative, positive work environment. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to grow your leadership skills and potentially lead teams or projects.
