Job Summary and Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY

The responsibilities of second-level support for desktop support trouble tickets encompass the setup of new or replacement desktop computing equipment, procurement of warranty parts, and execution of repairs on desktops, laptops, and certain printers. This role also involves configuring and providing for mobile messaging devices and IP Telephony devices. In some instances, collaboration with other ITG departments may be necessary to address more complex issues pertaining to campus computing support.

To excel in this role, a comprehensive understanding of the desktop environment and a strong command of related technologies (such as network, server environment, active directory, and security standards) are crucial. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player, demonstrate leadership, and prioritize a customer-centric approach.

I will offer inventive and original concepts and methodologies to enhance the efficiency of the HCA desktop environment.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• In accordance with departmental service level agreements (SLAs), the 2nd level support team is responsible for addressing desktop break/fix trouble tickets. This includes facilitating warranty repairs for desktops, laptops, and certain types of printers.

• Set up new desktop equipment for users, inclusive of mobile devices.

• Take on department maintenance responsibilities and serve as the department representative for some monthly collaborative department meetings and vendor meetings.

• With management supervision and approval, research, test, and implement new ways to streamline support for the corporate campus.

• Research and share information on new technologies that benefit corporate campus desktop users, HCA ITG, and HCA Enterprise.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have 2-3 years of relevant work experience required in the following.

Microsoft Windows

Apple MacOS

Basic networking principles

Microsoft Office 365

Mobile Messaging device support

SCCM Administration/troubleshooting

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Systems/Network Administration experience in a Microsoft enterprise environment.

Must have experience with:

• Microsoft Windows

• SCCM administration

• Project management

• Active Directory

• Networking concepts

• Customer service attitude

Excellent written and oral communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

MCP or Comp TIA A+ Network+ College graduate preferred
