Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with the management team, provide leadership in safe working practices, and execute electrical wiring plans using blueprints. Responsibilities include installing electrical apparatus, troubleshooting, and ensuring the compatibility of components in electrical circuits.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with management team throughout the project.

• Provide daily leadership in safe working practices across the field team.

• Use blueprints to execute plans for electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems.

• Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, safety and distribution components such as switches, circuit-breaker panels, and fire alarm systems.

• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.

• Bend and install conduit and pull wire throughout.

• Troubleshoot, inspect, install, and replace old wiring and insulated cables, and clean circuits.

• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.

Essential Skills

• Must have at least 5 years of commercial electrical experience.

• Ability to read blueprints and layout work for the team.

• Experience installing lighting, controls, and devices.

• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.

• Journeyman license.

• OSHA 10 certification.

Work Environment

Work on new construction projects in the greater Nashville area, including prestigious locations such as Vanderbilt and a mixed-use building in 12 South. The position involves working Monday through Friday, starting between 6:00 am and 7:00 am, with 8-hour days and the potential for overtime and Saturday work. A diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required. Candidates must have or be willing to obtain OSHA 10 certification.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
