Camp Lake James is a private member-owned recreational club situated on Lake James, NC, located near the Original Fonta Flora Brewery - Whippoorwill Farm. The camp operates a casual dining restaurant year-round and a lakeside bar with limited menu items during the summer season. The camp also holds special events involving plated meals or buffets throughout the year. We provide a relaxed family atmosphere to both members and team members and offer competitive pay and benefits.
Line Cook Role Overview:
Prep and cook various food products, including meats, seafood, and vegetables according to the clubs standard recipes using various equipment and utensils.
Main Responsibilities and Duties of the Job:
. Prep all items required for station set-up, to include ensuring quality of ingredients
. Prepare/cook menu items according to standardized recipes
. Follow all health and food safety regulations and safety procedures
. Coordinate and time orders with other kitchen operations for maximum efficiency
. Set up, break down, and maintain prep cook stations
. Close the kitchen properly using the closing checklist
Required Skills and Qualifications:
A minimum of one year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking. This can be replaced by sufficient culinary school education.

Customer service experience and mindset
Must have ability to stand for long periods, and walk, climb stairs, crouch, stretch, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Education:
High school diploma, GED or currently enrolled in school
Work Week and Pay:
April-September 40 hours/week
October - March 30 hours/week
Work week includes weekends
Pay range $15.00-$16.00
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
