Job Title: Chemical Technician

Job Description

Operate chemical mixing and compounding equipment, including pumps, valves, and hoses daily. Safely operate sit-down forklifts to transport materials throughout the site, including shipping and receiving areas. Adhere to specific batch sheets, documenting all corresponding information throughout daily activities. Utilize precise measuring equipment to weigh out raw materials accurately. Perform basic arithmetic to ensure correct proportions and percentages in finished materials. Conduct quality control checks on finished materials, in-process materials, and raw materials as required.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in NEW BERLIN, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing facility with approximately 35 total people within production, shipping, and receiving. Daily interaction with about 10 colleagues is typical depending on the day's tasks. The work environment can be hot and dirty due to the nature of the materials and the temperatures of the compounding machines. The typical team size ranges from 2 to 4 people per blend. The position is first shift, starting at 5:00 a.m. and ending at 1:30 p.m., with required overtime, including some Saturdays. A strong emphasis on teamwork and flexibility in task assignment is crucial, as well as strict adherence to safety standards and regulations.
