BSH Home Appliances Corporation seeks Engineer III, Electronics-Software and Connectivity in New Bern, North Carolina. Implement software for cooking appliance electronic systems. Responsible to integrate Camera electronics into Ovens and Ranges. Ensure completeness and consistency of the software and connectivity requirements for cooking appliances in North America as a part of a global development team. Test software on the target hardware systems, from single electronic components up to the entire cooking appliance. Troubleshoot SW problems in cooking appliances. Operate in complex system architectures and manage software variants. Analyze oven specific data in the backend. Use or create data analytics tools. Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality and customer service departments as well as for over the air SW updates. Add digital features to cooking appliances like new heating modes, ex. Air fry. Mentor and train others in above mentioned fields. Telecommuting: Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week max. Travel Requirements: 10% international and domestic travel.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field, plus 7 years of experience as an Electronic Engineer, Engineer Software Development or other occupation involving electronic systems, control logic and software of ovens and ranges. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Embedded electronics hardware and software in cooking appliances, including communication systems in cooking appliances; (2) Connected appliances and remote SW updates; (3) Mentoring and training other engineers in software systems; and (4) Providing technical support to testing department.

RATE OF PAY: $ 104,083.00 to $147,005.00 per year
