Administrative Assistant 1

Job Overview:

The Administrative Assistant is involved in a wide range of administrative and support activities for the manager/supervisor facilitating efficient operation of the team. This role is critical as it is often the first point of contact for the department on behalf of management. It requires exceptional patience, punctuality, and adherence to company processes. The ideal candidate will be proficient in maintaining documentation and communications pertaining to the department, gathering necessary data/ reports and coordinating with different departments to fulfill assigned tasks, understand the importance of confidentiality, and be a quick learner.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assists manager/department with responsibilities and projects that vary in degrees of complexity.

  • Serves as the first contact for all issues directed to management.

  • Provide general administrative support to the department.

  • Manage consistent employee interaction throughout the day

  • Partner with multiple areas within company to ensure workflows are being followed

  • Maintain all documentation/communications for the department.

  • Prepare reports/summaries, maintain logs and supplies, etc.

  • As assigned by the manager

    Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

    Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:

  • Strong communication skills required

  • Ability to remain organized and multi-task required

  • Minimum 2 years’ solid experience in an Administrative role

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Required Schedule: Monday-Thursday 9am-6pm , Friday 8am-2pm
