Citigroup Advisory and Execution Program Management Sr. Analyst (AVP)-Hybrid in New York, New York
Overview
The Program Management Advisory and Execution team (PMAE) is the only enterprise level resource that supports all business units across the bank to plan, execute and govern complex cross-functional initiatives, programs, and projects. We act as partners to interject project management discipline to work efforts. The team works across silos and moves from topic to topic while continuing to maintain and follow program management rules of governance. The PMAE is an organization consisting of over 70 project management professionals, each with a very robust and diverse background. The work will vary across engagements, but generally will range from regulatory compliance to risk management, to the integration of technology into the business process. PMAE is not a technology-centric project management office, it’s work is more focused on the integration of the technology projects and production into cross-functional business initiatives as part of a larger body of work.
This is a highly matrixed organization where your primary manager will not be providing daily oversight of your actions and project management skills. You will be expected to operate independently, while interacting with your clients and stakeholders on a day-to-day basis. As initiatives, programs and projects close, you will then be assigned to a new body of work with new sponsors and new stakeholders, while maintaining your primary PMAE supervisory chain.
If you like solving new, challenging, and complex problems, while continually learning new parts of the business and growing your network – this is the perfect role for you. To really stand out and make us fit for the future in a constantly changing world/environment, each one of us at PMAE needs to be a purpose-led and values driven leader at every level.
This is a foundational-level position with independent program management experience not required. You will work primarily to support and participate in complex initiatives, programs, and projects through all activities in a project/program life cycle by owning management of core PM processes (i.e., risk/issue management, reporting, plan management.) This position offers opportunity for growth while supporting all activities within a project’s life cycle.
Responsibilities:
Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program. Drive individual workstreams; continually improve the process and educate PM team and stakeholders on process requirements and enhancements.

Partners with cross functional teams to prioritize delivery of key projects.
Applies best practices for effective communication and problem-solving.
Collaborates with teams on any project delays, risk assessment and risk mitigation plans.
Performs project status reporting to project stakeholders.
Prepare post project lessons learned and conduct continuous process improvement reviews.
Understand the bank environment and compliance and regulatory requirements.
Ensure creation of program plan and charter benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, and central program issue log.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
