Job Description

Salary Range: Up to $125,000

Insight Global is seeking several Superintendents to support our client in Manhattan. This position would be supporting a public agency working on a broad variety of projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Onsite Supervision, daily reports, ensuring contractrs are compliant (more then specs, advise on safety)

- Teach the contractors in a mentorship program (training what expectations are for the client)

- Coordinate, schedule, and manage all subcontractors and vendors.

- Expedite vendors and subcontractors on a daily and weekly basis.

- Identify and resolve construction problems as they develop.

- Maintain accurate time-keeping and cost records.

- Supervise self-perform work and develop special construction methods for job efficiency.

- Manage material receiving: Ensure that material received is properly inspected for quantity and quality, and that receiving tickets are properly signed, coded, and filed.

- Comply with all jobsite reporting requirements, including daily reports, field purchase orders, weekly unit reports, weekly updates to the two-week look-aheads, and monthly updates to the construction schedule.

- Familiarize with shop drawings and submittals, and assist project managers in complying with the submittal schedule, contract documents, and company reporting requirements.

- Attend required jobsite meetings.

- Maintain quality consistent with company standards.

Additional Information:

- Candidates must be comfortable working on the 2nd shift schedule (3 - 11 PM).

- Experience with emergency programs and a broad knowledge of construction is desirable.

- Ability to handle multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.

- Willingness to adapt to the New York construction management market and technology.

Skills and Requirements

- Education and Certification: Bachelors degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management.

- A minimum of 8 years of related experience in the construction field.

- Familiarity with NYC public building projects and NYC building department filing, rules, and requirements. - Prior experience in NYC public agency, SCA, and/or NYCA projects preferred but not required. null
