Nielsen VP, Head of Advertiser Sales in New York, New York

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and intellectually curious individual to join our team as the Head of Advertiser Sales for Nielsen. You will be responsible for driving revenue and relationship growth with US-based advertisers.. Your main objectives will be to develop and execute effective sales and go to market strategies with Nielsen products, foster strong relationships with Advertiser clients, and exceed growth targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy to drive revenue growth and market share with US Advertisers, especially new clients.

  • Build a small team of sales professionals, setting clear objectives and accountability, creating sales processes, and fostering a culture of performance.

  • Build new relationships with advertiser clients, offering value, insights, thought leadership in order to help address their needs and challenges.

  • Proactively meet and create advertiser relationships where they are - events, via industry bodies like ANA, personal networking, partnerships, etc.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including post-sales servicing, customer success, marketing, product, and finance, to align sales efforts with company objectives.

Qualifications

  • Strong network of relationships with applicable key decision-makers and a demonstrated ability to successfully navigate complex sales cycles.

  • A willingness to build and expand new business relationships at in-person events and meetings.

  • Previous experience leading and managing a high-performing sales team, with the ability to create processes and accountability and to inspire and mentor individuals.

  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach, leveraging market insights and analytics to drive decision-making and identify growth opportunities.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively articulating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a simple and clear way.

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $100,000 - $300,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
