Data-Mail Human Resources Recruiter in Newington, Connecticut

LOCATION : Newington, CT. This position is an on site role, not hybrid, not remote

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

SUMMARY

Contribute to maximizing Data-Mail’s success by providing leadership and expertise in the areas of recruiting and staffing at both the exempt and nonexempt levels of the organization for both locations, Newington & Windsor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage full cycle recruitment process to meet the various staffing goals across all levels.

  • Consult with hiring managers to ensure Data-Mail has the workforce necessary to meet its business needs. Recommend recruitment and retention strategies and monitor turnover.

  • Recruit exempt and nonexempt staff. Actively develop internal and external sources for candidates. Ensure employees with the competencies to meet the departments’ staffing needs.

  • Efficiently and effectively, fill open positions. Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need through effective recruiting plans and strategies.

  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates. Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. Post openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues.

  • Register, coordinate, and attend career fairs.

  • Network through industry contacts, social medial, networks, cold-calling, and employees.

  • Source applicants through various methods including advertising, recruiters, job sites, career fairs, etc.

  • Organize and execute school (high school, trade schools and colleges) recruitment programs and visits, including attending fairs.

  • Develop and maintain contacts and act as liaison with schools, outreach organizations, and other groups as necessary to meet recruiting objectives.

  • Utilize the Internet for recruitment.

    --Post positions to appropriate Internet sources.

    --Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment, including social media.

    --Use social network sites to identify and source candidates

  • Schedule, coordinate and conduct in-office or virtual interviews for all candidates.

  • Maintain recruiting log on a daily basis to reflect various stages of the interview process.

  • Coordination with all temporary agencies to schedule interviews of their candidates.

  • Maintain folders of candidates, including candidates sent by temporary agencies, with their applications/resumes.

  • Present potential candidates to hiring managers in both written and verbal formats.

  • Extend offers to candidates.

  • Review and conduct candidates’ professional references.

  • Research, identify and recommend best practices for full cycle recruitment function, including alternative staffing strategies.

  • Comply with company rules and regulations.

  • Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.

  • Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department.

  • Keep manager informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.

  • Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Four-year college degree plus 2 years of Recruitment/Generalist experience
