Description

We are in the process of recruiting an Accounts Payable Specialist for our fast growing tech client, based in Newport Beach, California, 92660, United States. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be entrusted with the complex task of managing the full cycle of accounts payable, which includes ensuring accurate account coding, utilizing various accounting software systems, and primarily handling the payment of utilities. This job provides a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Execute the full cycle of accounts payable tasks efficiently

• Ensure accurate matching, batching, and coding of invoices

• Take charge of the payment for utilities as a primary responsibility

• Employ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools for efficient management of accounting functions

• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable (AP) transactions

• Apply knowledge of accrual accounting principles in managing accounts

• Conduct auditing tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data

• Handle transactions through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) when required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems and their application in managing business processes.

• Ability to perform various Accounting Functions, including but not limited to managing ledgers, tracking expenses, and maintaining balance sheets.

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP), with a focus on ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.

• Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles and their application in financial management.

• Experience in Auditing, with a focus on identifying errors or discrepancies in financial records.

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes and their role in facilitating electronic transactions.

• Proficiency in using Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations for managing financial activities.
