Olin Chemicals Entry Level Electrical Engineer in Niagara Falls, New York

Read on to learn more about this exciting opportunity to join our winning team.Typical responsibilities for an entry-level electrical engineer include:Work with maintenance and production to develop and implement new or improved chemical manufacturing processesAssist with troubleshooting, gathering and analyzing data Analyze, develop and recommend design changes to meet production requirementsJustify, specify, obtain approval, order and install processes and equipmentEvaluate materials and/or metallurgy for long-term operability of equipmentUpdate P&IDs of plant processes with manufacturing equipmentSupport plant and Operational and Maintenance Excellence goals, including continuous improvement / Lean manufacturing initiativesServe as engineering representative on small capital projectsWork with equipment suppliers and other vendors and contractors to ensure project goals are metParticipate in plant shutdowns/outagesMaintain effective communication and coordination with area supervisors, production operators and maintenance techniciansParticipate in and/or lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs)Assist in developing policies, procedures and standards, including preventative maintenanceParticipate in safety meetings, training activities and following established safety procedures and practicesMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree* in Electrical Engineering; must be completed by May 2025. Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (documentation required). Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations. Prior Olin experience in a related role.Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills - verbal and written.
