Job Description

Danfoss Climate Solutions is looking for a Test Lab Technician to High pressure pumps, who will play a critical role in the Innovation Laboratory by ensuring the preparation, execution, and documentation of various tests and special experiments. Furthermore, this role involves a high dedication to support the laboratory operations regarding maintenance of the existing lab equipment but also to work on the development of new water hydraulic test-stands and test-setups.

This position requires strong technical background within hydraulics, mechanics, sensorics and electronics. The ideal candidate should also have a strong hands-on, proactive and self-driven mentality, a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples and components for testing, including ordering parts from suppliers.

  • Prepare test setups according to test plans and specification.

  • Conduct tests on high-pressure pumps and related components according to established protocols and procedures.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting, routine maintenance and calibration of test equipment.

  • Collect and record test data accurately and comprehensively.

  • Document test procedures, setups, and results.

  • Assist in the analysis and interpretation of test results.

  • Support the development and implementation of new testing methods and test-setups and test-stands.

  • Maintain an inventory of lab supplies and equipment.

  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve testing processes and resolve issues.

  • Participate in team and project meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure the lab is clean, organized, and complies with safety standards.

Background & Skills

  • An associate degree or technical certification in a relevant field.

  • Previous experience in a test-lab environment, preferably within the pump or fluid dynamics industry.

  • Basic understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.

  • Proficiency in using lab equipment and tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal (English & Danish)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Experience in PLC & VFD setup and programming is a plus.

  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and software (LabView & Catman easy) is a plus.

  • Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment as required.
