Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for Shockwave Medical Inc. an IT Support Technician (d/f/m) located in Germany .

The IT Support Technician (d/f/m) will perform technical assignments related to supporting day to day IT operations and end user services.  The position holder will assist with implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT equipment, end user applications, and other related efforts.  He/ she uses considerable judgment, a high degree of initiative, creative approaches in troubleshooting, and adapts to rapidly shifting priorities and a fast-paced environment.  Making recommendations for continuous improvement across the IT client services is also an important task.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide day to day desktop and application support for all end-users.

  • Provision & deploy end-user and other devices such as: Laptops, desktops, Macs, iPads, printers, mobile devices, etc.

  • Provide initial workstation setup and workstation relocation services as the need arises.

  • Perform onboarding and off-boarding activities and maintain supporting documentation.

  • Make updates to IT Client Services documentation as needed.

  • Create and deactivate user accounts in Active Directory (AD) as needed.

  • Manage/monitor IT asset inventory.

  • Assist in maintaining IT asset inventory tracking documentation.

  • Use IT Helpdesk ticketing system.

  • Coordinate cloud-based file services and permissions.

  • Administer Office365 cloud-based products.  

  • Administer VoIP phone system.  

  • Perform other duties as assigned and occasional weekend work to support IT maintenance activities. These job functions are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel.

Qualifications - Internal

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in first-level technical support. 

  • C1 level of English and German proficiency.

  • Must possess strong customer service skills.

  • Knowledge of and experience with:End user devices and associated operating systems;Workstation imaging technologies;Helpdesk ticketing and reporting systems;Windows Server OS platforms and Active Directory.

  • Written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively at all levels.

  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

  • Operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements.

Classification : Depending on experience and qualification this position is assigned to the tariff area E7 (CBA Chemical).
