Robert Half Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager in Norfolk, Virginia
Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in the transport industry at our Norfolk, Virginia location. As an Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager, you will be crucial in handling and supervising the accounts receivable operations and ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions.
Responsibilities:
• You will supervise and guide the Accounts Receivable teams of Cash Applications, Sundry Invoicing, and Adjustments/Refunds, and propose improvements to the process.
• You will be responsible for researching payments not applied to the FICA system and act as the point of escalation for GBS for complex cases.
• You will collaborate with GBS CR to monitor the performance of unapplied and unidentified payments and support the Senior Financial Controller in implementing actions to meet established targets and KPIs.
• You will liaise with internal teams for new fees/process changes to ensure sundry invoicing and refunds processes are clearly outlined for GBS and customers.
• You will play a key role in developing and implementing platforms for automating payment reception, reconciliation, and reporting.
• You will oversee the interface from the bank statement to SAP for cash management.
• You will assist with AP & Corporate deposits account coding.
• You will foster a high-performance team mindset, participate in improvement actions, and support a culture of innovation within the team. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within Accounts Receivable or similar field
• Experience with 3M products or similar is a plus
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services or similar financial systems
• Experience with Concur software is desirable
• Proficiency in using CRM systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Demonstrable experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Extensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Solid understanding of Auditing procedures
• Experience in managing Billing Functions is required.
