Roles & Responsibilities:
Generate Accurate programs for Grind CNC operations within customer facility
Work well as a part of a multi-discipline team
Maintain and meet potentially tight schedules
Problem solve and information gather
Review processes and provide solutions and process recommendations
Drive improvements in all related manufacturing processes, including those related to products, equipment, and product quality for customers
Present work to customers at reviews and other meetings
Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
Understand the engineering definitions and develop sequential manufacturing process for better results in achieving right at first time
Good decision making capabilities in preparation of process
Sound knowledge in new product introduction in lie with the manufacturing launch plan
Ability to generate cutting tool path and NC program code using NX
Expertise in feature based machining, turning, 3, 4 and 5 Axis milling, turnmill & VMC 4th & 5th axis fixed or continuous
Expertise in selection of cutting tools & cutting parameters for Steel, Aluminium, Titanium & Nickel alloy materials
Expertise on various CNC controls (Siemens, Fanuc & Heidenhain)
Expertise in analysis of NC codes post processing
Expertise in creation & customization of post processor
Expertise in Vericut, NCSIMUL, Nx and other simulation software
Ability to create tool 3Dmodels, assemblies and drawings in Nx, CATIA, Creo and other tool platform
Fully conversant in reading Engineering & Manufacturing Drawings
Expertise in high and low volume production with an extensive background in CAD/CAM.
Sound knowledge interpreting the GD&T (standards ASME Y 14.5, JES 161)
Sound knowledge on various controls (Siemens, Fanuc & Heidenhain)
Expertise in creation & customization of post processor
Able to support root cause analysis and implementation of problem solving techniques
Working knowledge on concessions, containment procedures and traceability techniques
Awareness of aerospace (AS9100, various ISO)
Desired Skills:
Ability to interpret GD&T from model Based definition and legacy drawings
Ability to read and understand specifications and standards
Ability to execute tasks in line with the customer quality procedures and production methodologies
Good knowledge on various manufacturing processes
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
