Data Strategy & Transformation Director

Your Responsibilities

  • Responsible for positioning data as a strategic asset within the organization, ensuring it is managed, governed, and optimized for business value.

  • Support the development and execution of data governance and quality strategies, with a focus on data management for AI use cases, enabling the organization to leverage data for advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence applications.

  • Build and scale data fluency initiatives, by providing training, resources, and support to ensure that employees develop the necessary skills and mindset to effectively use data in their day-to-day roles.

  • Support internal transformational projects that require an understanding of the hospitality and analytics industries, while embracing new ideas and concepts to keep the team on the cutting edge.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the organization maximizes the value of its data, turning it into a competitive advantage and enabling impactful business outcomes.

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in related field(s) required

  • Master’s degree in related field preferred

  • At least 5 years’ experience in driving strategy & transformation

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel with superb Power Point skills

  • Demonstrates key competencies including strategic mindset, drive results, and build networks.

  • Experience with high visibility projects and comfortable managing up and across the organization.

  • Strong communication and change management skills with an understanding of how things are connected, as well as the ability to tell a story using PowerPoint.

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Vice President, Business Insight & Analytic Services

Your Work Location

As our Data Strategy & Transformation Director , you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $170,000 annually. In addition to the annual salary, this role is eligible for an annual bonus based on the terms of Choice's Management Incentive Plan (MIP ).

The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
