We are seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to work Collateral Cybersecurity efforts, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and industry best practices. If you have at least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and information system security, as well as utilizing tools like Nessus and Splunk, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Security Compliance and Risk Management
Ensures information systems comply with NIST 800-53, RMF, DAAPM, and other security frameworks
Conducts risk assessments, vulnerability management, and mitigation planning
Performs audit log reduction and analysis as well as SIEM tuning and configuration
Maintains Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements for classified systems
Incident Response and Continuous Monitoring
Oversees security operations, threat analysis, and intrusion detection
Develops and executes incident response plans to protect sensitive data
Implements continuous monitoring strategies to proactively identify threats
Working knowledge of NIPR/SIPRNet and its IR and ConMon tools
Policy Development and Documentation
Develops security policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with DoD regulations
Ensures thorough audit readiness and proper documentation of security controls
Manages security training programs to promote best practices
Collaboration and Leadership
Works closely with the ISSM, program teams, IT teams, and security personnel to strengthen SDL's cybersecurity posture
Supports security assessments and interfaces with government agencies (e.g., DoD and IC entities)
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 5 years in information systems security, cybersecurity, or related fields (experience with NIPR/SIPRNet or Enterprise/WAN support, a plus)
Education: High School Diploma plus 10 years relatedexperience or Bachelor's degreein Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field
Certifications: Baseline Cert such as: CISSP, CISM, GSLC, SecurityX, CGRC, Security+, or GSEC (preferred to also have a CSSP/CND cert, such as: CEH, CySA+, GCIH, or SCYBER)
Knowledge of Security Frameworks: NIST 800-37 Risk Management Framework (RMF), DAAPM, and DoD security controls
Technical Skills: Expertise in tools such as ACAS, HBSS/ESS, eMASS, vulnerability scanning, encryption, auditing, and secure network architecture
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must havea DoD SECRET security clearance or higher
*Salary Range:
$77,000-$136,000
Salary commensurate upon highest education level and years of directly related experience
