Amazon Business Analyst, RSE in North Reading, Massachusetts

Description

You will work cross-functionally with engineering teams, program managers, and leaders throughout the organization to deliver projects aimed at characterizing and improving the performance of robotic automation technology in Amazon's network of warehouses. In this role, you will use a combination of unified and disparate data sources to uncover insights delivered through decision-driving analytics white-papers and automated data visualizations to influence the development, modification, and deployment of cutting edge robotic technology. You will collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Program Managers to define and deliver world class analytics tools and insights to shape the robotic technology landscape.

Business Analysts are responsible for converting data into actionable business insights. They are analysis experts who leverage a variety of data platforms and analytical tools to provide timely, meaningful, and consumable information. They build deep contextual and domain knowledge. They ensure data quality and build scalable tools. They communicate findings with the most effective and influential methods.

About the team

Robotics Safety Engineering (RSE) is a support organization within Global Robotics Delivery (GRD). RSE supports the safe operation and maintenance of robotic systems from early lifecycle planning through sustaining in the field. Our Safety Support Engineers analyze, validate, and influence design to maximize risk reduction and mitigate residual risk related to AR systems. We work closely with cross-functional teams within Amazon Robotics and throughout Amazon to ensure that the operator, maintainer and bystander are a factor within the safety design.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience

  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

  • Experience with Excel

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience

  • 2+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
