Thames Valley Council for Community Action Data Manager, Outcomes & Reports in Norwich, Connecticut

JOB SUMMARY :

Under the general direction of the Contract Compliance & Quality Assurance Director, the Data Manager, Outcomes & Reports is responsible for providing useful and relevant programmatic, agency, and community-level data reports and overviews to TVCCA administration, management and the Board of Trustees. This person will work individually as well as with committees to coordinate needed information, review and interpret data, and submit reports as required by various funding sources.

The Data Manager, Outcomes and Reports will be an integral part of the Compliance Department, ensuring that State and Federal-mandated data is reported with a high level of accuracy and reliability, in support of the agency’s overall Results Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA) practices. This position requires learning and working within a proprietary client database, among other systems, to track changes in development, ongoing improvements, and confirm data accuracy.

Required Skills

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, statistics, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working within a nonprofit or governmental organization or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to complete the essential job function.

  • Experience with various methods and platforms used for data analysis, integration and reporting.

  • Ability to translate data into a form that can be understood by a wide variety of audiences.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and driven by curiosity to understand how data can translate to successful outcomes.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office computer applications, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Advanced skill level in Excel and other data analysis software like Stata and SPSS preferred. A skills assessment may be administered prior to hire.
