We are looking for a Sr. Communications Manager who will help develop internal communications and some external and strategies that inform and engage team members and build and protect the Company’s brand and reputation. This is an exciting opportunity to help grow the Company’s communications function in a creative and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional, a self-starter, and an excellent writer. The Sr. Communications Manager will engage closely with the CEO, SVP of Marketing, Design and Engineering, and other members leadership team to build our brand externally and our culture internally.

Your role

Executive and Commercial Communications Support:

Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and disseminate key messages, speeches, and presentations. Craft and refine communications for commercial initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.

Internal Communications - TB Connect:

Oversee the creation, editing, and publishing of all internal communications on the company’s intranet, TB Connect. Ensure that all internal content is accurate, engaging, and aligns with the company’s brand and messaging guidelines. Serve as the Project Manager for the cross-functional team responsible for TB Connect, coordinating efforts and ensuring timely delivery of content, leading the monthly steering committee, and providing updates on Team Member engagement.

Company Events Communication Support:

Develop and manage communication plans and deliverables for major company events such as sales meetings, town halls and global kick-offs. Coordinate with event organizers to ensure all communication materials are prepared and delivered effectively. This could also include developing videos from our executive and commercial leaders. Assist in the production of companywide Town Halls, including pre- and post-show team member communications.

M&A Communication Requirements:

Support the development and execution of communication strategies for mergers and acquisitions. Ensure clear, consistent messaging to internal and external stakeholders during M&A activities.

Employee Engagement and Feedback:

Implement mechanisms to continuously gather employee feedback on internal communications and use insights to improve strategies. Promote a culture of open communication and ensure team members feel informed and engaged with company updates.

Brand Consistency and Messaging:

Maintain consistency in messaging and tone across all internal communications to align with the company's brand standards. Provide guidance and support to departments to ensure all internal communications adhere to brand guidelines.

Crisis Communication Management:

Develop and manage internal crisis communication plans to ensure timely and effective communication during emergencies. Work closely with leaders to coordinate internal and external messaging during crises.

Metrics and Reporting:

Track and analyze the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives, providing regular reports to senior leadership. Use data-driven insights to refine and enhance communication strategies.

Your background and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Corporate Communications, Public Relations or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, PR or marketing -communications. B2B environment preferred

  • Proven ability to develop and manage content

  • Experience working with trade and/or business reporters, vetting media requests and managing media interviews

  • Knowledge of AP Style

  • CPG or packaging experience preferred but not required

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office. Experience with email platforms such as Marketo Marketing Automation, Bananatag, and PR tools including Cision/PR Newswire preferred

  • Experience with social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook

  • Ability to travel up to 10%
