Canadian Tire Senior Vendor Risk Analyst in Oakville, Ontario

What you'll do

We are seeking a highly skilled, technically apt individual to join our team as a Senior Vendor Risk Analyst reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). As a Senior Vendor Risk Analyst, you will play an integral role in managing Canadian Tire Bank’s Third Party Risk Management Framework and related software application. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the third party framework and platform meet the needs of the Bank and aligns with regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Third-Party Risk Management Framework and methodology aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage and maintain the Bank’s third-party software application (ProcessUnity) including configuration changes as necessary.

  • Provide oversight of the Bank’s third-party risk risks and risk profile.

  • Provide guidance, support and subject matter expertise on the Bank’s third-party related policies, processes, and software application.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of the ProcessUnity platform and functionality.

  • Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes and best practices relating to third party risk management to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to maintain and enhance the third-party risk management framework and application.

  • Work with the Bank’s software application provider as needed on support requests.

  • Manage the end-to-end integration of ProcessUnity, our third-party risk management application, including configuration management, support, bug fixes, updates, releases, and testing.

  • Manage roles, user access, set up and licenses in the software application.

  • Conduct training and awareness sessions for internal stakeholders on third party risk management policies, procedures, and application use.

  • Develop regular reporting on the Bank’s third-party risk profile and metrics.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or computer related discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience as a risk analyst or an equivalent business-related role, specifically focusing on third party risk management in the banking or financial services industry.

  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations and industry best practices related to third party risk management.

  • Solid technical skills and proficient in MS Excel, formula writing and regular expressions.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.

  • A technical background in enterprise application integration and management is an asset.

  • Experience with third party risk management software is an asset.

  • Enthusiastic learner with well-developed organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team of risk professionals.
