Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting routine laboratory testing of construction materials including concrete, aggregates, asphalt, soils, steel and rebar, and masonry. You will meticulously prepare specimens for testing and upholding high standards of quality control under the guidance of senior technical staff. Collaborating with the team, you will work towards obtaining technician certifications from industry organizations such as the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT), Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), and the American Concrete Institute (ACI). Maintaining precise records of testing procedures, operating laboratory equipment, and actively engaging in ongoing training for skill enhancement will be integral to your success in contributing to the overall efficiency of the laboratory.
This position includes:
Applicable PPE (personal protective equipment) provided
Prescription safety eyewear and work boot reimbursement program
Receive fully paid training, opportunity to participate in our mentorship program, and gain hands-on experience by shadowing seasoned professionals

Adept in verbal and written communication
High school diploma or equivalent
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a construction related field
Experience in construction or a laboratory setting, preferred but not required
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows programs
Willingness to pursue and obtain technician certifications from reputable industry groups such as KDOT, MoDOT, ACI, and others
Valid driver's license with a good driving history
The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Associatesdegree from a technical or four-year school preferred but not required
