Catholic Health Initiatives Pharmacy Supervisor Retail in Omaha, Nebraska

Overview

A new Family Health Center is being built on the Immanuel campus that will be opening in September 2024. Services provided will include Primary Care, Priority Care, Retail Pharmacy, and rotating specialty services.

The Pharmacy Supervisor ensures the quality of service and continuity of patient drug therapy and care. This position serves as a designated functional lead with oversight of the day to day activities of their operations and team members. The supervisor participates in operationalizing CHI Health strategic initiatives and priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Has the authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations.

  • Assigns day-to-day work activities; directs the functional and technical job performance of team members.

  • Allocate and direct staffing needs to meet patient, unit, and department needs, and collaborate with others to ensure overall staffing needs are met.

  • Manage performance including: Setting goals, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback and recognition, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to our work and our Commitments using corrective action.

  • Oversees and supervises pharmacy purchasing at all Retail pharmacy locations. Works collaboratively with system pharmacy managers and Pharmacy Tech Coordinator.

  • Oversees and enhances current business relationships in retail pharmacy.

  • Reviews and insures contract compliance with all pharmacy operations to insure best pricing options are achieved.

  • Assures appropriate level of understanding, awareness and compliance with all applicable accreditation, federal, state and agency laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards.

  • Monitors literature and journals to identify new pharmacy opportunities. Works with the Pharmacy Leadership team to collaboratively determine feasibility of individual opportunities and initiatives and assists with implementation/compliance.

  • Participates in all safety, security and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the department.

  • Maintains a system of management reporting that provides the system with timely and relevant information on all aspects of Pharmacy Services to include inventory levels and management of inventory processes.

  • Develops, coordinates, and manages operating systems and operational standardization, service standards, approaches, policies across the CHI Health System

Qualifications

Required Licensure and Certifications

Pharmacist License

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong oral and written communications skills. Ability to work with others to achieve common goals. Good problem solving skills; strong personal computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet preparation required; must demonstrate personal traits of high-level commitment, motivation and energy; team orientation; professionalism; trust; personal honesty and integrity; and a demonstration of placing others in a place of high value and treating them with dignity and respect.

PREFERRED Qualifications

Preferred 5 years of progressive experience as a practice pharmacist.

Pay Range

$51.41 - $74.55 /hour
