Please review the following job description:
Support Mortgage Warehouse Lending Relationship Managers (MWL) by providing objectivity and a risk management focus and the support needed to grow MWL relationships. Primary duties include ensuring new and renewed credits are properly analyzed, credit files are in compliance with policy, and the commercial lending process is completed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide support of underwriting and verification of risk-assessment analysis on credit request packages to be submitted to Commercial Credit Administration (CCA) for co-approval.
Ensure packages are complete, accurate, and adhere to Truist risk appetite and policy.
Support the MWL Managing Director and MWL Relationship Managers in the administration of the business portfolio of the MWL department in order to achieve the desired results of quality, profitability, and growth.
Monitor proper use of single loan authority, execution of risk grading tool, appraisal order process, and all other components established for the commercial lending process.
Inspect credit files and loan systems information to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
Keep abreast of changing business and economic developments which impact the loan portfolio, its profitability, and banking in general.
Work closely with the MWL Relationship Managers to assist with monitoring, maintaining, and potentially growing the loan portfolios.
Help with the identification of any changes in risk associated with each existing loan and take the necessary course of action.
Update and maintain existing credit files to ensure that the file is up to date and current.
In conjunction with MWL Relationship Managers, assist with obtaining updating information from the client.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting or equivalent education and related training 6+ years of experience in banking industry or related work experience Strong verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of financial and cost accounting principles
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office desktop applications
Commercial Underwriting Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics High degree of quantitative analysis skills
