The HR Manager position is a critical role. It has three major areas of responsibility 1.) Ensuring that the day-to-day HR operations are running smoothly between the business and our Centres of Support, 2.) Developing and supporting people strategy with the Canadian leadership team, and the HR Team 3.) Overseeing the Employee Relations function. Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Manager is expected to have superb French & English communication skills (both verbal and written).

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Developing and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business goals

  • Supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners, fostering trust and promoting collaboration

  • Nurturing a positive working environment by adhering and supporting company values and initiatives and creating an open space that fosters engagement.

  • Reporting and providing decision support through innovative and efficient HR metrics to Business and HR Leadership.

Talent Management

  • Supporting a team of HR Generalists in their day-to-day activities by providing counsel and assistance to ensure compliance with the SLA and business partners’ satisfaction.

  • Conducting and analyzing exit interviews; making recommendations on action plans to address identified gaps

Training and Coaching

  • Monitoring training needs and requirements with the L&D teams and ensuring compliance targets are met.

  • Contributing to planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee performance, training and coaching requirements.

  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

Compliance

  • Ensuring compliance in all aspects of HR functions by advising on compensation, new or updated labour laws, Health & Safety, Benefits, Immigration regulations, etc.

  • Representing the organization in legal hearings, mediations and in legal related matters.

  • Preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.

Employee Relations

  • Bridging management and employee relations by addressing reported issues and concerns, grievances or complaints.

  • Overseeing and conducting investigations on reported policies breaches and bringing issues to a resolution.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Leading Compensations activities related to on/off-cycle increases, adjustments, and incentive plans and programs. Administrating periodic pay surveys; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions.

  • Collaborating with the LOA team on leaves and accommodations, return to work or frustration of contracts. Acting as a liaison in complex cases or when issues are raised.

Misc. HR Projects and initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; MBA Degree (preferred) in Human Resources, Business or related area

  • Stellar French and English written and verbal communication skills

  • 5+years of experience in a Human Resources generalist role; at least 2 years of experience conducting employee relations investigations.

  • 3+ years of experience managing direct reports

  • Exceptional ability to work independently, be decisive and deal with ambiguity in a dynamic environment

  • Knowledge and experience with Human Resources best practices and models

  • Knowledge of nation-wide labor laws, regulations, and statutes

Le poste de Directeur(trice) RH est un rôle essentiel. Il a trois grands domaines de responsabilité 1.) S'assurer que les opérations RH quotidiennes se déroulent sans problème entre l'entreprise et nos centres de soutien, 2.) Développer et soutenir une stratégie en matière de ressources humaines avec l'équipe de direction canadienne et l'équipe RH. 3.) Superviser la fonction des relations avec les employés. Relevant de la Directrice principale des ressources humaines, le responsable des ressources humaines doit posséder d'excellentes compétences en communication en français et en anglais (à l'oral et à l'écrit).

Responsabilités:

Leadership stratégique

  • Développer et mettre en œuvre des stratégies et des initiatives RH alignées sur les objectifs de l'entreprise

Gestion des talents

  • Soutenir une équipe de généralistes RH dans leurs activités quotidiennes en leur fournissant conseils et assistance pour assurer le respect du SLA et la satisfaction des partenaires commerciaux.

  • Mener et analyser les entretiens de départ ; formuler des recommandations sur les plans d’action pour combler les lacunes identifiées

Formation et coaching

  • Mesurer les besoins et les exigences en matière de formation avec les équipes L&D et s'assurer que les objectifs de conformité sont atteints.

  • Contribuer à la planification, au suivi et à l'évaluation des exigences en matière de performance, de formation et de coaching des employés.

  • Entretenir ses connaissances professionnelles et techniques en participant à des ateliers pédagogiques; examiner des publications professionnelles; établir des réseaux personnels; participer à des regroupements professionnels

Conformité

  • Assurer la conformité dans tous les aspects des fonctions RH en donnant des conseils sur la rémunération, les lois du travail nouvelles ou mises à jour, la santé et la sécurité, les avantages sociaux, les réglementations en matière d'immigration, etc.

  • Représenter l'organisation lors d'audiences juridiques, de médiations et lors de la survenance de questions juridiques connexes.

  • Préparer, mettre à jour et recommander des politiques et procédures en matière de ressources humaines.

Relations de travail

  • Résoudre les situations conflictuelles entre la direction et les employés en traitant de façon diligente et efficaces les problèmes et les préoccupations et les plaintes signalés.

  • Superviser et mener des enquêtes sur les violations des politiques signalées et résoudre toute problématique détectée.

Rémunération et avantages

  • Diriger les activités de rémunération liées aux augmentations, aux ajustements et aux plans et programmes de primes et bonus. Administrer des enquêtes salariales périodiques en planifiant les activités nécessaires pour être conforme et équitable.

  • Collaborer avec l'équipe LOA sur les congés et accommodements, le retour au travail ou la frustration des contrats. Agir comme agent de liaison dans des cas complexes ou lorsque des problèmes sont soulevés.

Qualifications requises :

  • Baccalauréat ou expérience équivalente; MBA (de préférence) en ressources humaines, en administration ou dans un domaine connexe

  • Compétences exceptionnelles en communication écrite et verbale en français et en anglais

  • Plus de 5 ans d’expérience dans un poste de généraliste en Ressources humaines; au moins 2 ans d’expérience dans la conduite d’enquêtes sur les relations avec les employés.

  • Plus de 3 ans d'expérience dans la gestion de subordonnés directs

  • Capacité exceptionnelle à travailler de manière autonome, à prendre des décisions et à faire face à l’ambiguïté dans un environnement dynamique

  • Connaissance et expérience des pratiques exemplaires et des modèles en matière de ressources humaines

  • Connaissance des lois et règlements du travail à l’échelle nationale

  • Solides compétences fonctionnelles dans les relations avec les employés des Ressources humaines et connaissance approfondie des emplacements au Canada

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Talent Management:

• Support the business in conjunction with HRBPs in the coordination, preparation and results compilation of all talent reviews, talent assessment administration, including validation of actions taken.

• Develop and maintain talent database.

• Partner with Talent Acquisition to coordinate and participate in interview panels to help bring closure to the hiring process.

Learning & Development:

• Train and counsel associates and managers on the use of tools and resources for effective performance management and development

• Lead the coordination and facilitation of the performance review calibration process.

• Support HRBP with organizational change efforts, including talent matching, Oracle movement and auditing and reductions in force

Collaborating with COEs:

• Liaise with Total Rewards and business leaders to facilitate job reviews and job description validation

• Partner with Legal on non-solicitation requests

• Support the integration of newly acquired companies and assists leadership with orientation to HR programs, policies and procedures

• Work with the Associate Relations Team and HR Service Center to respond to assigned cases

Data & Analytics:

• Develop and maintain reports using reporting, analytics, and dashboard tools; reports include but not limited to TA reports, compliance training reports, salary history reports, and exit interview results

• Work with HRBP to provide insightful analysis of critical HR Data assisting with the recommendation and implementation of appropriate solutions

• Audit DIV/DEPT list and partner with EBS and Finance to make corrections

• Partner with EBS on ad hoc report and enhancement requests from the business

  • This position may provide guidance or mentoring for indirect reports

Education Level:

Office / Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 5 kilograms.
