Job Title: Maintenance Technician Needed 2nd shift!

Job Description

Install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment, electrical components, and special purpose machines as assigned. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, fabricate, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly. Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment, with a proven track record of contributing toward team goals. Operate various equipment and machinery at times when assigned maintenance tasks are low.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • At least three years of maintenance/electrician experience with at least two years working in a manufacturing environment.

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Requires ability to read schematics.

  • Experience with PLC's preferred.

  • Working knowledge of basic safety programs, particularly lock-out/tag-out procedures.

  • Knowledge of principles of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, welding, and mechanics.

Work Environment

The environment is very fast-paced and candidates will have to be comfortable working indoors and outdoors. They will be expected to wear proper clothes pending the weather conditions daily. The employee will be required to speak or hear regularly, sit for extended periods, and frequently stand on their feet. The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 65 lbs. from the ground level and perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and the whole body, including bending, crouching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pageland, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
