Job Description:

A company in Palmdale is looking for a seasoned PART-TIME Senior Auditor to join our team. As a Senior Auditor, you will play a key role in evaluating, researching, and resolving complex financial matters. This position will be responsible for planning, conducting, and documenting detailed financial and compliance audit projects. This is a HYBRID role but you MUST be able to commute to Palmdale, CA.

Responsibilities:

Leading and performing audits on various aspects of the company’s financial and operational processes.

Understanding business processes, detecting risks, and ensuring the effectiveness of control environments.

Overseeing the design and execution of audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting processes and procedures.

Conducting work that complies with professional standards and ensure the completion of audits in a timely manner.

Preparing and presenting findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and senior management.

Supervise, train, and mentor junior auditors and other staff.

Assisting the management team with the strategic auditing plan and process.

Keeping informed about updates, changes and trends in financial regulations and legislation.

Collaborating with various department leaders to develop the company's auditing policies and identify potential areas of vulnerability or risk.

Requirements

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a similar field is required. A Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is preferred.

Minimum 4 years of experience in auditing, including supervisory experience.

Proficiency in audit procedures, including risk assessments and control selections.

Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively convey findings and propose recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with other accounting software.

A high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and personal accountability.
