Purpose
The purpose of the Construction HSE Coordinator is to provide support and guidance within France Project Management around key HSE guardrails, drive governmental compliance and support mitigation of risk activities on projects.
This position partners closely with the Project Management (PjM) Team to drive a culture of Health, Safety & Environmental excellence to protect people, assets and brand across our delivery models.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Drive visible leadership commitment, embedding a culture of safety, health and wellness within the organization and toward suppliers and subcontractors.
Execute preventive safety inspection with PJM team.
Ensure that all HSE activities at project level are carried on in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, client requirements, international standards, and company Environmental and Safety Standards.
Oversee the safe delivery of projects by providing guidance and practical expertise on Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
Train and support PJM Team in executing Company PJM HSE tools and techniques, so that they understand and embrace their HSE roles and responsibilities.
Oversee competency verification.
Execute the Country Audit Assurance Program and monitoring findings for effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with company accident reporting, recording and investigation procedures. Create an environment where PJM team approach incidents with a mindset of learning & improvement.
Promote and maintain the values of the Company at all times.
Drive the supplier & subcontractor safety onboarding process.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
Fluent in English
Knowledge of standards and regulatory requirements to assure compliance and proactive management of risk.
Practical application of auditing
Demonstrated ability to influence teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated experience in delivering results.
Ability to drive multiple high priority initiatives simultaneously.
Client-focused approach.
Education and experience
University degree in occupational safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Management or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
4+ years’ experience working in any one or multiples of the following is essential: project management, construction, facilities maintenance, real estate.
