Job Summary:

This position manages daily operations of Red Tail Grill in Canyons Village. Increasing revenue by providing exceptional guest service, floor presence, training, and upselling are all very important aspects of this job. This position will report directly to the General Manager and they will work together to ensure that staff and the restaurant environment are exceeding the expectations of the Vail Brand Standards and Safety standards, as well as achieving the service goals set measuring guest satisfaction.

Job Specifications:

  • Housing: May Be Available

  • The budgeted range starts at $55,000 - $62,465. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time / Year Round (10 months)

  • Skill Level: Advanced

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accurately conduct daily reports and audits, including daily log of bar counts

  • Daily management of front of house staff

  • Adjust staff to business level based on forecast

  • Order and maintain inventory control of Restaurant front of house products

  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints

  • Assist with training of front of house food & beverage service personnel

  • Know and enforce local, state and federal regulations for the sale and distribution of alcohol

  • Hold and document daily pre-shift meetings and conduct all staff meetings as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required/Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

  • Minimum 4 years restaurant front of house (bartending and/or serving) experience required

  • Minimum 1 year front of house supervisory experience required

  • Utah valid driver's license

  • Strong Skills Required; Purchasing software, MS office suite, POS experience

  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

  • TIPS certification & Utah Food Handler’s Card required.

  • Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout a shift, lift and/or carry up to 50lbs.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends

The expected pay range is $55,000 - $62,465. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
