Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at a busy treatment center. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with patients and possess a strong ability to handle high patient volumes. Your role will involve scheduling patients, rooming patients, taking vitals, and documenting information into the EMR system.
Responsibilities
Schedule patients for visits
Room patients for their appointments
Work with oncology patients
Take and document patient's vitals into the EMR system
Clean and sanitize treatment areas after patient visits
Check inventory for oxygen tanks, food supplies, and medical equipment to be ordered
Make follow-up phone calls to patients
Essential Skills
Experience with oncology patients from previous CMA position or through phlebotomy
Experience working through difficult patients and situations
Active Certification in Medical Assisting
Ability to handle high patient volumes
Attention to detail
A proactive attitude and willingness to help others
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Medical assisting
Phlebotomy
Experience with EMR systems
Work Environment
The position is based in a busy treatment center that handles high patient volumes, with each Certified Medical Assistant seeing around 24 patients per day. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with no weekend shifts. We offer full benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance, a 401k plan, tuition reimbursement for full-time employees, and paid holidays off, including the Friday after Thanksgiving. While on contract, you will be eligible for 6 paid holidays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
