Chiesi Global Manufacturing Division
Chiesi Farmaceutici’s three production plants are: the Officine Farmaceutiche di Parma (Italy), the Blois-La Chaussée Saint Victor plant (France) and the Santana de Parnaiba plant (Brazil). The plants produce a total of more than 110 million units per year.
The production area of Officine Farmaceutiche di Parma is the main strategic hub for the production and distribution of Chiesi products.
Here, solid medicines such as tablets and dry powders for inhalers, solutions and suspensions for inhalations and sterile suspension vials for endotracheal administration are produced.
The new Biotech Centre of Excellence for biological drug development and production will specialise in the development and production of active ingredients such as monoclonal antibodies, enzymes and other proteins.
Santana produces pressurised solutions and suspensions for inhalation therapy (MDI).
Blois specialises in dry powder inhalers and pressurised solutions for inhalation therapy and handles the final assembly stages of Metered-Dose Inhalers (MDI).
Who we are looking for
Purpose
The Project Manager Facility is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and management of Chiesi’s non-industrial facilities worldwide. This role oversees the master plan, leads the development of new headquarters and office corporate buildings, and ensures all projects align with the company’s growth strategy, sustainability commitments, and corporate values. The position requires strong technical expertise, financial acumen, and leadership skills, managing large-scale capital projects (30-40M€) with a focus on efficiency, innovation, and long-term asset value optimization.
Main Responsibilities
Strategic Facility & Real Estate Development
Define and lead the execution of Chiesi Parma master plan for corporate real estate, ensuring alignment with business growth and operational needs.
Oversee the development of new headquarter and office corporate building, integrating state-of-the-art infrastructure and sustainable design.
Project & Program Management
Lead and manage capital projects (30-40M€), ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality execution.
Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles, from permitting and feasibility studies and design to construction, commissioning, and handover.
Establish and enforce best practices in project governance, cost control, risk management, and performance tracking.
Develop and maintain a robust risk management framework, ensuring compliance with regulations and mitigating project-related risks.
Workplace & Corporate Space Strategy
Develop corporate guidelines for workplace standards, including Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), digital transformation, and employee well-being initiatives.
Define and implement global space management policies, ensuring optimal utilization of office and corporate spaces.
Lead workplace evolution projects to enhance productivity, collaboration, and sustainability.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, providing insights on facility expansion, market trends, and operational improvements.
Engage with external stakeholders, including contractors, regulatory bodies, and industry partners, ensuring successful project execution.
Sustainability & Smart Infrastructure
Drive the integration of sustainable and smart building solutions, reducing environmental impact and enhancing energy efficiency.
Ensure all new developments align with green building certifications (LEED, , or equivalent) and corporate goals.
Promote the adoption of innovative building technologies, such as smart infrastructure and predictive maintenance solutions.
Social & Community Engagement
Support the company in social utility projects, contributing to community development and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Lead technical aspects of projects with municipalities, universities, and industry associations to foster innovation and knowledge sharing.
Experience Required
At least 6 years’ experience in the role or experience in Facility management or equivalent
Education
Bachelor's or Master's Degree Engineering or equivalent experience
Languages
Fluent Italian and English
Technical Skills
Knowledge of the main regulations concerning building construction & safety
Use of common computer tools (e.g. Office) and technical SW (e,g, CAD)
Knowledge of the main aspects of facility management
