The Role
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is searching for a passionate, creative, and strategic Senior Director, Brand Marketing. If you’re someone who loves building brands, shaping culture, and making an impact in a fun, fast-paced, and collaborative environment—this role is for you.
As the Senior Director, Brand Marketing, you’ll be the mastermind behind the strategy, voice, and creative execution for some of the world’s most iconic and well-known hotel brands, with responsibilities across a specific segment of Wyndham’s brands. You’ll guide agency partners, lead cross-functional teams, and create work that gets people talking—whether it's a game-changing brand campaign, a killer influencer partnership, or an unforgettable guest experience.

What you'll do
Brand Strategy & Leadership
Own and evolve brand strategy, including but not limited to, positioning, voice, creative identity, and go-to-market strategy for assigned segment of Wyndham brands.
Be the brand champion, ensuring all touchpoints—from digital ads to hotel experiences—reflect the brand’s DNA.
Lead the development of integrated marketing plans and campaign briefs that drive awareness, consideration, and bookings, in partnership with Paid Media and Marketing Effectiveness teams.
Think ahead: Spot emerging trends and create work that keeps our brands ahead of the curve.
Act as a thought leader at conferences and franchisee events, presenting marketing strategies and innovations on behalf of your brands and Wyndham.
Identify brand partnerships that drive value and negotiate relationships that enhance brand exposure, in partnership with Paid Media.
Creative Development & Content Strategy
Work with our best-in-class marketing agency and internal teams at Wyndham to develop compelling campaigns, taglines, and brand assets.
While design experience is not a must, it’s a plus to help enable our team’s ambitions for a more real-time content engine.
Oversee the creation of video, social, digital, and hotel collateral —from video shoots to influencer collaborations, in partnership with Agency and Social Media lead. You’ll be hands-on at creative shoots – because you know how to bring a brand to life!
Partner with the PR team on high-impact activations that generate buzz and earned media.
Submit award-worthy campaigns that showcase Wyndham’s creativity and innovation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaboration is the name of the game. You’ll sit at the center of a cross-functional marketing team, setting the brand strategy and then working alongside Paid Media, Social Media, Marketing Effectiveness and other teams to bring that strategy to life.
Work with Brand Operations to develop in-hotel brand-defining elements and pilot programs that elevate the guest experience.
Support new hotel openings, as applicable, and brand launches, helping franchisees maximize marketing impact.
Coordinate with global marketing teams to ensure our brands are aligned worldwide.
Keep Wyndham teams updated with relevant brand marketing materials and initiatives, including preparing and presenting content for key franchisee and development meetings.
Performance Measurement & Optimization
- Work with Analytics and Media teams to measure campaign success and optimize creative accordingly.
Financial & Budget Management
- Own the North American marketing fund for your brand—budgeting, tracking, and ensuring financial accountability.

Required Qualifications/Experience
12+ years of experience in brand marketing or advertising, with a proven track record of leadership.
A well-rounded marketing pro who knows how to craft and launch both quick wins and long-term brand-building campaigns.
A big-picture, strategic thinker who isn’t afraid to get in the weeds to make things happen.
Detail-obsessed but never loses sight of the larger strategy.
Skilled at turning complex ideas into clear, compelling stories.
A natural problem-solver and communicator who thrives on collaboration.
A self-starter who embraces change, tests fearlessly, learns fast, and optimizes even faster.
Budget-savvy with experience managing monthly budgets and accruals.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience in hospitality, travel, consumer brands, or franchise business models is highly desirable but not essential.
