System Engineer Specialist, Storage and Back Up

What is the Job all about?

This position is part of the Server team of a global IS Infrastructure Operations mainly on storage and servers). In this position, the member is expected to be the subject matter expert for the application area being supported.

This role will be directly reporting to the Manager for IS Infrastructure Services and to be based in Ortigas, Pasig City.

Your main responsibilities:

• Manage incidents / critical incidents

• Conduct Basic Operations of the IS infrastructure

• Perform technical monitoring / Event management

• Contribute to service delivery monitoring strategy/design by sharing knowledge and suggest improvements

• Excellent corporation with colleagues with IS and external partners

Your background:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

• Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V)

• Network experience

• Solid Experience in Storage

• Able to communicate effectively (listen and speak up) with all levels of the organization internally and with external partners

• Ability to work in a systematic and organized manner

• Self-motivated and requires minimal supervision

• Well organized and structured

• Willing to work within a given frame and follow processes and procedures

• Able to work effectively in a global team environment – with colleagues across time zones and cultures
