Staff Software Engineer, Teradata US, Inc., Peachtree Corners, GA:

Responsible for all phases of agile software development life cycle from software design through customer support. Perform competitive analysis of database systems and data integration solution. Provide recommendations on Teradata offering changes to close competitive gaps and enhance competitive advantages. Design, implement, validate, and test new database and novel query optimization features in an agile form. Perform functional and performance analysis of code defects and correction of the defects. Contribute to the delivery and continuous support of robust, resilient, and quality database products. Lead and establish technical direction for a group of software engineers during feature development. Assist feature manager with technical aspects of features and projects.

Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience.

Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

Modern programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, or SQL; and

Object-oriented design, design patterns, and test driver development.

Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:

Large system development using Relational Database concepts;

Debugging in a parallel processing environment with software written in C#, C++, or Java;

Implementing data solutions on Azure, Amazon Web Service, or Google Cloud; and

Agile software development using Scrum frameworks.
