Katmai Cryptologic Technician Subject Matter Expert (CT SME) in PENSACOLA, Florida

SUMMARY

Supports the design, development, and delivery of Interactive Multi-Media Instruction (IMI) and Computer Based Training (CBT). Products include training media in multi-media, virtual, game-based, and distributive training environments. Establishes methodologies, processes and working group interaction in all stages of IMI and CBT development to ensure technically accurate results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Applies CT subject matter expertise to ensure our instructional system design efforts accurately reflect CT terminology, doctrine, and systems.

  • Supports the design team with the effective formulation of graphics and computer-based training technology.

  • Applies thorough knowledge of CT equipment, operations, and security protocols.

  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Formally completed Navy CT "A" school and "C" school.

  • Fifteen (15) years of active-duty Navy experience under the enlisted ratings of Cryptologic Technician Maintenance (CTM), Cryptologic Technician – Collection (CTR), or Cryptologic Technician – Technical (CTT).

  • Experience instructing Navy courses and developing curriculum.

  • Knowledge of USN training standards.

  • Expertise interpreting and evaluating Navy tactical situations and making recommendations.

  • Recent, in-depth knowledge of the U.S. Navy Cryptologic Technician Ratings.

  • SME expertise in the following CT subject matter:

  • Operation and maintenance of radar systems

  • Intelligence Collection protocols and procedures.

  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks (U.S. citizenship required).

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Instructor certification a plus.

  • Experience with military training is preferred, Navy experience is a plus.

  • Ability to develop comprehensive technical plans, procedures, and work instructions.

  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task across multiple projects.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).

Job Requirements:

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

TRAVEL

Potential for travel. When required, employee will need to complete an MVR check.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in a hybrid setting. Employee will work remotely and, in an office setting in Pensacola, FL. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing; occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
